Benefits of the foods that I eat

Lettuce. You can literally eat pounds of any variety of lettuce and never gain an ounce. Romaine lettuce alone is a great source of B vitamins, folic acid, and manganese, which helps regulate blood sugar and is essential for proper immune system function.

Tomatoes. They contain lycopene, an antioxidant rarely found in other foods. Studies suggest that it could protect the skin against harmful UV rays, prevent certain cancers, and lower cholesterol. Plus, tomatoes contain high amounts of potassium, fiber, and vitamin C.

100% whole grain bread is a good source of dietary fiber, which supports digestive health. Eating whole grains gives us a sense of fullness and has other health benefits. Diets rich in whole grain foods may help reduce the risk of heart disease and certain cancers.

Regular tea drinking, as a part of healthy diet, may help maintain healthy vascular function. Tea gives me a real boost. Some teas actually reduce sugar and fat absorption while speeding up the digestive process. I drink unsweetened black tea.

Drinking water is vital for weight loss. It is a critical component of any weight-loss strategy. Water helps me lose weight easily by preventing me from overeating and it also helps in flushing out the excess toxins from the body.

Blueberries are filled with antioxidants that boost your brain cells and reduce sluggishness.

Spinach is loaded with iron, which delivers more oxygen to your cells and perks you up fast.

Lean protein provides me with a sense of satiety (fullness) and can help prevent overeating.

Apples are one of the healthiest fruits we can eat.

Black coffee is one of the lowest-calorie drink choices around, and it's a great weight loss ally. Coffee alters levels of gut peptides, the hormones naturally released to control hunger or fullness.

Vegetables. Eating lots of vegetables every day will help you lose weight quicker. Veggies are low in calories, high in volume and packed with critically important nutrients. They fill you up without loading you down with fat and calories. And when your stomach is filled up with high volume, low calorie food, there is less room for the other not-so-healthy stuff
